Kids First

Kids first rugby with Eddie Jones - head coach of the England national rugby union team

Old Mutual Wealth is a proud partner of the Old Mutual Wealth Kids First programme, the new approach to U7-U13 rugby at clubs and schools across the country. That’s because, as with finances, we’re big supporters when it comes to the value of achievement through expert guidance.

Kids First is all about understanding what motivates children and encouraging them, with the support of their coach, to give their all for themselves and their team mates. The programme provides a setting in which children learn to play the game at their own pace, developing their skills and having plenty of fun as they do so.

At Old Mutual Wealth, we are passionate about playing our part in making a difference to the prosperity of future generations and we believe that people who take professional financial advice have the best chance of reaching their goals.

That’s why Kids First and Old Mutual Wealth make such a good team. Both pride themselves on understanding

Old Mutual Wealth Kids first lacesindividual motivations and setting small targets to achieve big ambitions.

During the 2016-17 season, we will be introducing the Old Mutual Wealth Kids First Champions programme. The champions of the Old Mutual Wealth Kids First programme will be clubs, schools and coaches who are leading the way in terms of delivering this valuable initiative and acting as ambassadors for the activity. The Old Mutual Wealth Kids First Champions will be rewarded with a range of great prizes across the season.

Throughout the course of the season, Old Mutual Wealth Kids First Champion clubs and schools will be chosen to fulfil the role of the ‘Match Day Squad’ during the Old Mutual Wealth Series and Cup fixtures. The Old Mutual Wealth Match Day Squad will have the incredible opportunity to play on the hallowed Twickenham turf ahead of kick off and then form a Guard of Honour as their heroes run out of the tunnel and onto the pitch.

All Old Mutual Wealth Kids First clubs and schools will also be receiving green laces during the 2016-17 season which will be used as a weekly reward that recognises the children who are demonstrating the core values of the game: teamwork, discipline, respect, sportsmanship and enjoyment. Coaches will identify one player per week who is championing these values and they will be rewarded with a pair of green laces.
