Skandia, part of Old Mutual Wealth, has today announced the appointment of Tony Harris as head of specialist sales in order to expand the specialist sales support it provides to financial advisers.

Tony will lead Skandia’s 12 strong team of proposition experts who work with financial advisers to ensure they are fully aware of the various solutions and services available to them. The specialist sales team is responsible for pensions, protection, offshore, trusts and investment solutions.

Tony has previously worked as national sales director for Standard Life and investments director for Standard Life Investments. Most recently Tony has been working as an independent business consultant helping investment and advisory businesses develop product launch and strategic distribution plans.

Tony will start at Skandia on 25 June and will report to Scott Goodsir, managing director of UK distribution.
