Glyn Jones

Independent non-executive Chairman, Old Mutual Wealth

Glyn Jones was appointed as independent non-executive Chairman of Old Mutual Wealth in September 2016. Glyn is also the Chairman of Aspen Insurance Holdings, a New York Stock Exchange listed business. Previous non-executive roles included being the Senior Independent Director on the Direct Line Insurance Group, a board he joined ahead of its listing on the London Stock Exchange as a FTSE 100 company. Other past chairmanships include: Hermes Fund Managers, BT Pension Scheme Management and Towry, a financial planning and wealth advice business.

Glyn started his career with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells, a predecessor firm to PWC, where he was a senior partner in the consulting practice specialising in financial services. In 1991, he joined Standard Chartered Bank where he ran their international private banking business which was headquartered in Hong Kong. On his return to the UK in 1997, he joined NatWest Bank and was appointed CEO of the Coutts Group, the domestic and international private banking business, as well as having responsibility for NatWest Investments and NatWest Stockbrokers. In 2001, Glyn joined Gartmore Investment Management as CEO until 2004.

Charlie Eppinger

Non-executive director

Charlie joined the Board in October 2013. He sits on both the Board Risk and Audit Committees. He founded IFDS (International Financial Data Services) in 1995 and served as chief executive officer there for 13 years until 2007. 

More recently Charlie spent 10 years at Cofunds as chief executive and non-executive chairman. Prior to IFDS he held senior roles at Boston Financial Data Services, Bank of Ireland and American Express.

Paul Feeney

Chief Executive Officer

Paul was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Old Mutual Wealth in August 2012. Prior to this Paul was CEO of Asset Management, Long Term Savings after joining Old Mutual in January 2012.

From 2008 to 2011 Paul was Executive Director and Head of Distribution at BNY Mellon Asset Management International. Prior to that Paul was Managing Director and Head of Distribution for Gartmore Investment Managers, responsible for all sales, marketing, product development and multi-manager divisions of Gartmore globally. 

Paul's extensive background in both asset management and wealth management includes positions as Chief Executive of NatWest Private Bank and NatWest Investments USA as well as three years at Coutts.

Bruce Hemphill

Chairman, Group Chief Executive Officer, Old Mutual

Bruce Hemphill has been Group Chief Executive of Old Mutual plc since November 2015. He was previously Chief Executive of Wealth, Insurance and Non-Bank Financial Services at Standard Bank Group. From June 2006 to February 2014, he was Chief Executive of Liberty Holdings Ltd, having previously served as Chief Executive Officer of STANLIB. He also served in Corporate & Merchant and Investment Banking at Standard Bank.

Ingrid Johnson

Group Finance Director, Old Mutual

Ingrid has been the Group Finance Director of Old Mutual since July 2014. She was previously the Group Managing Executive: Retail and Business Banking for Nedbank.

Ingrid has more than 20 years’ broad-based financial services experience with the Nedbank Group in a variety of roles. She was appointed to the Nedbank Group Executive Committee in 2008 and is a Prescribed Officer of the Group. Ingrid is a qualified chartered accountant and served her articles with Price Waterhouse and completed the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School. 

She also sits on the Old Mutual plc Board.

Moira Kilcoyne

Non-executive director

Moira brings over 25 years of technology and cyber security leadership to Old Mutual Wealth. She spent much of her career working in senior technology roles in both London and New York, predominantly with Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch. Moira recently retired from Morgan Stanley having held the role of Managing Director and Co-Chief Information Officer, Global Technology and Data at Morgan Stanley since 2013.

Lord Sandy Leitch

Non-executive director

Lord Leitch joined the Board as a non-executive director in July 2014. He is also Chairman of Intrinsic Financial Services and BUPA and Group Chairman of FNZ (UK) Ltd.

Previously he held roles as Chairman and CEO of Zurich Financial Services in the UK, Southern Africa and Asia Pacific, Chairman of Scottish Widows, Deputy Chairman of Lloyds Banking Group plc and Chairman of Threadneedle Asset Management. He was also Chairman of the Association of British Insurers.

Lord Leitch has spent much time and energy into the improvement of society. He chaired the Government's Independent Review of Skills, publishing his report, 'Prosperity for all in the Global Economy: World Class Skills'. In the past he has chaired UK Cares, the infant and maternal mortality charity MAF, the National Employment Panel, the Balance Foundation, SANE and a think tank called the Centre for Modern Families. He was also Chancellor of Carnegie College, Chairman of the Medical Aid Film Charity, Deputy Chairman of Business in the Community and of the Commonwealth Education Fund. He received the Prince of Wales' Ambassador award for his charity work. 

Lord Leitch is a Freeman of the City of London and has a doctorate in Business Administration. In 2004, he was awarded a Life Peerage.

Roger Marshall

Non-executive director

Roger Marshall has been an independent non-executive director of the Company since August 2010. He chairs the Group Audit Committee and is also a member of the Board Risk and Remuneration Committees. He was formerly an audit partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he led the audit of a number of major groups, including Zurich Financial Services, and Lloyds TSB. He is currently Chairman of the Accounting Council, a Director of the Financial Reporting Council, and a non-executive director of Genworth Financial's European insurance companies.

George Reid

Independent Non-executive Director, Old Mutual Wealth

George Reid was appointed to the Board of Old Mutual Wealth in February 2017 and joins the Audit and Board Risk Committees. George started his career in 1987 undertaking various roles and overseas secondments with Price Waterhouse/PricewaterhouseCoopers.  In 1999, he joined Standard Life where he spent seven years in various senior executive roles, including Group Chief Accountant and Financial Reporting Director for UK Life and Pensions.  He returned to the accounting profession in 2006 and spent the next 10 years with Ernst & Young UK LLP.   Initially a Partner within the Financial Services Audit Practice, in 2015 he was appointed Managing Partner and EY’s Head of Financial Services for Scotland and UK regions, and made a member of the UK Firm’s Financial Services Board.  In addition, George has been a Director of the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland since 2009.

Mark Satchel

Chief Financial Officer

Mark joined Old Mutual in 2000 as Finance Manager. He was appointed Chief Financial Officer for different parts of the Old Mutual Group from 2003 and 2006 and then for Old Mutual Wealth in 2010.

Previous roles in Old Mutual also include Finance Manager. Mark is a qualified as a Chartered Accountant in South Africa, and worked for KPMG in both South Africa and Canada prior to moving to the UK.

Tim Tookey

Independent Non-Executive Director, Old Mutual Wealth

Tim Tookey was appointed to the Board of Old Mutual Wealth in February 2017 and Chairs the Board Audit Committee.  Tim has worked at board level in financial services for over 20 years and has been responsible for managing a large number of significant business transformation and strategic projects, mergers and acquisitions.  Most recently, Tim was Chief Financial Officer of Friends Life Group (2012-15). Prior to this his roles included six years at Lloyds Banking Group plc, including being Group Finance Director from 2008-12; Finance Director (UK and Europe) at Prudential plc from 2002 to 2007, and Group Finance Director at Heath Lambert Group. Tim worked at Heaths from 1996 to 2002 leading the management buy-out of CE Heath plc in 1997 and the public takeover of Lambert Fenchurch plc in 1999. Tim worked at KPMG from 1985 to 1996, specialising in corporate finance advisory work and audit. Tim is currently a non-executive director of Nationwide Building Society where he chairs the Board Risk Committee and is a member of various board committees including the Audit Committee and the IT Strategy and Resilience Committee. In addition, Tim is Chairman of Alliance Trust Savings.

Cathy Turner

Non-executive director

Cathy is an experienced Non-Executive Director who has spent over 30 years working in senior leadership roles at global organisations. Cathy’s current board roles include being Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee at Countrywide plc and Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee at Aldermore Bank PLC. She is also a Partner part time at the senior advisory organisation Manchester Square Partners. After an initial career in consulting, Cathy moved into financial services in 1997 with Barclays plc, where she rose to the position of Group HR Director and a member of the Group Executive Committee. At various times, her responsibilities have also included group strategy and investor relations. Her most recent executive role was as Chief Administration Officer at Lloyds Banking Group plc where she was responsible for a number of corporate functions. Cathy will be Chair of the Remuneration Committee at Old Mutual Wealth.
